offended by a book that they claim is the model of morality.

    I am doing a research project for school on the beginning of Christianity.  The
only information I can find is that Jesus was crucified in the year 30 A.D. and
then the Gospel of Mark was written around 70 A.D.Paul was supposedly alive when
Jesus was crucified , but his letters don't make any mention of His ministry or
didn't seem to know important facts of His life. What happened during those 40
some years?

Romans chapter 13 tells Christians to obey the law of the land. So, if
you don't pay your taxes, you're breaking the law. It's not his
preaching or being a Christian that got Dr. Kent Hovind, PhD into
trouble. It was failing to pay taxes, making false statements (Hey,
here's a Ten Commmandments violation: thou shalt not bear false witness
(telling lies)) Would Jesus approve of lying unless it was to prevent a
greater sin, such a murder, from happening. Say someone was wanting to
kill your brother and you lied to that person about your brother's
whereabouts so he would not be able to carry out the murder. I would
say God would not frown upon that lie because it kept a murder from
happening. But making false statements to avoid paying legally due
taxes is wrong. I hate taxes also, but their not going away anytime
soon. And lying to the IRS ain't going to please them.

Now, I’m a liberal atheist myself, and while I’m just as disgusted by the bible as
any rational human being, it should be obvious that what you're doing is not
respectable.  To pose as a christian and then portray them in the worst, most
incompetent light you possibly can is dishonest, and doesn't actually serve our
purpose.  As intelligent, rational persons, we should be entirely capable of
speaking the truth about the foolishness contained in the bible, without resorting
to such manipulative ploys. 
 
You probably think that your site is simply portraying christianity as it would be
if the bible were ACTUALLY obeyed, and you'd be right.  But I think it's just as
important to our long-term goals that we accept the few strides that even the most
idiotic of christians have taken.  For example, even the most foolish,
fundamentalist christians have accepted the importance of science, and have rejected
the stupidity of a literal interpretation of the bible.  In the same way, the
fundamentalist christian idiocies that you point out on your site, such as believe
in a young, or even flat (!) earth, or your "endorsment" of racism, sexism, and
heterosexism, have been largely abandoned by even the most primitive christians. 
Even though christians themselves are obviously not responsible for these advances,
I think that convincing christians to accept our 
point of view depends on our willingness to give what little credit is due for
christians eventually accepting these points of truth.
 
All in all, I simply want to point out that your method of attempting to portray
christianity as worse that it actually is (a considerable task) is disturbingly
similar to the attempt of christians to demonize non-believers with lies and
half-truths.  Seeing as it is this exact behavior that we freethinkers deplore in
christianity, I would ask you to take a more honest path towards mankind's freedom.

I've been given a war strategy from the Christ though prayer. He told me to email
you and tell you about it. He wants me to build churches that are 72 foot by 72
foot. There are 6 rooms on the left and 6 rooms on the right. Each room is 12 foot

there must be a kitchen to serve pizza to the Church members. The enterance doors

will be restrooms for men and women. The church will be called a Jedi church. Jedi
stands for JE-sus DI-ciples. Each member must take a class for a week about God
being light inside of plants. 1 john 1:5 says God is light.A botany teacher told me
the energy of the light is inside of bread and alcohol. It is no coincidence that
jesus said he IS the bread and wine when his spirit is the light inside of them. The
people who live in the church will be homeless people who work in the church jobs
supplied. Each member of the church will be a king or queen because they are royalty
in heaven. God's will on earth as it is in heaven. They will also be us police
officers/ soldiers. When all of the homeless are off the streets in america who want
to be christian soldiers, i can build some in other countries to end the war on

Did you know: If the world were flat, you could see every mountain in the

Also, what reason would the government have in telling us that the Earth is

respect Christianity as with all religions, and I believe any great 
believers are very brace because they devote their whole life to their 
beliefs. My whole family and most of my friends are Christian and I am 
atheist, for my own personal reasons. I was born Christian and baptized 
until I decided to become nuetral on religion.

To start off, I'd like to address all the other hate-mail writers out there
in saying:

A. First amendment, read it. Stop trying to shut down the servers. It's
ridiculous, he's simply explaining the Bible; if you don't like it, then you
have every right to leave the site.
B. Bible, read it. Seriously. If you feel the requisite need to "call him
out," as it were, then try reading the Bible first to form a valid argument.
While there really isn't a valid argument against this site, the least you
can do is refrain from sounding like a fool/hypocrite. Take your pick.
C. Write legibly. It's going to be discarded otherwise, and if you can't
write legibly then you're probably too stupid to be writing in the first
place.
D. Figure out what is actually going on here. If you can't figure out the
intent of the site, and accept it solely for its face value (Oh-em-gee, a
hateful Christian, he's totally an asshole because he interprets the Bible
literally and that promotes hate), then please stop right there and re-read.
It's really, really obvious. If you still can't get any deeper than that,
pass the time with some Mavis-Beacon lessons.

Thanks for giving me so much joy and laughter all
packed into one website.  It's so much fun to read all
of your ignorance in one place.  I do know some of you
can't help it as you were told over and over again as
children about your god but I just wish once in a
while one of you would actually do some thinking on
your own and form your own opinions instead of just
reciting scripture.  Gets a bit boring after a while. 
And the part about this Jesus of yours being an
American was just hilarious.

Hard to believe there are people like you still out
there but you just go right on keeping that head of
yours in that big sandbox you play in.

are really pissed off at you and your comments. But
please be careful as even though you say you change
your email address on a regular basis, there are still
some quite competent christian computer hackers out
there who could find where you are.
